Senior / Principal Engineer

We are seeking smart self-starting problem solvers with 7+ years’ experience in designing and constructing complex software in various business domains. Our candidates need the ability to vision a complete system and lead a team of engineers in an agile project environment. They will also be responsible for work directly with client to gathering business requirements, doing proper technical designs, and developing production ready components.

Requirements:

Solid knowledge in a modern language and frameworks with special focus on Java and Kotlin
Knowledge of current cloud architectures, infrastructures, and services
Expert understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including software configuration management practices
Ability to lead teams of 2-10 staff using Agile methodologies.
Skills necessary to configure, automate, maintain, and document continuously integrated product builds and deployments
Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
Capable of independently learning new products, technologies, and tools
Ability to multitask on day to day operational work in conjunction with project work, while meeting deadlines and communicating progress
Ability and willingness to work with cross functional teams across different time zones
Track and support application builds and deployments into Dev, QA, and Production environments
Excellent problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
Good customer service skills with a service oriented attitude
Strong organizational and communication skills

Nice to Have:

Software development using open source tools and frameworks for web, mobile and cloud based applications
Strong Java, associated frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot
Additional experience with any of the following, Vert.X, Python, or other languages and frameworks.
Expert understanding of modern web and middleware and backend architecture
Knowledge with deployment, provisioning, configuration, and orchestration
Knowledge with Jenkins, TeamCity, Artifactory build infrastructure
Knowledge with Gradle, Maven and other build tools
Knowledge with Git, GitHub version control tools
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field desired but not required

Software Engineer

Candidates who have 3+ years of development experience and can quickly learn new technologies are exposed to many different technologies which keep them engaged and up to date on the latest trends in software development and DevOps practices.

Requirements:

3+ years of Java or Python experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Eagerness and capability to learn new technologies
Strong understanding of unittest and mock frameworks
Understanding of Design Patterns

Nice to Have:

Computer Science (or other related Math/Engineering) Degree
AWS/Azure/GCP experience
Ansible/Chef/Puppet/SaltStack
Vert.x, React, Kotlin
Open source software, framework, library experience
